Joel Gordon is an award-winning actor, director, and a television producer. In 1995, he founded V-Formation Productions Inc., through which he has produced and directed engaging films and television programs.
In February 2004, he completed a compelling one-hour television documentary for CBC's Life and Times series entitled, "Wrestling with Destiny: The Life and Times of Daniel Igali". The Academy of Canadian Film and Television nominated the documentary for a 2004 Gemini Award. In 2005, the film received 3 Leo Awards, it was a finalist at the New York Festivals and the winner of the Gold Remi Award at the Houston Worldfest Film Festival. His feature film debut, "Superbob" won the Star!TV Reelchoice Audience Award at the 2002 Reel World Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.
Currently, he is producing a television biography on the international literary icon, Margaret Atwood and an hour-long biography for CBC's Life and Times series on the stage actor, William Hutt.
Coming from over 15 years of professional experience in film and television as an actor, Joel Gordon has been featured in 50 episodes of television and 18 films. He recently appeared in a guest lead role on "This is Wonderland" and he has also appeared in films such as: Maya Angelou's "Down in the Delta", "Danger Beneath the Sea", and Robert Townsend's "The Natalie Cole Story".
