Trey Anthony is a published professional playwright, actor, comedian, and social activist. She wrote the hit play, 'da Kink in my hair, voices of black womyn, staged at The Princess of Wales Theatre. 'da Kink was a public and media sensation!
'da Kink wowed critics and was a sold-out event for its entire run! 'da Kink, television show is currently in development for Vision and CBC television. Ms Anthony is also the former Creative Program Director, for Y-Arts?, an urban art centre for at-risk youth. Ms Anthony is also the executive producer for Bodies of colour, bodies that matter, which is a workshop series which was first presented in conjunction with the National Eating Disorder Centre. Ms Anthony has appeared on CTV, The Comedy Network, CBC, and Toronto One. She has been featured in The Globe and Mail, Now Magazine, Eye Weekly, Xtra Share, The Toronto Star, and The Toronto Sun. She has spoken and offered her services and performed at numerous events for such clients as CBC, McMaster University, MGill University, The Harbourfront Centre, Second City, Yuk Yuks, The Toronto Women's Bookstore, Camp Sis, Supporting Our Youth, The Ontario Arts Council and many more!

Talks and Lectures
Ms Anthony is a dynamic and engaging speaker. She speaks from a feminist and anti-oppressive framework and perspective. She combines comedy and her own personal experiences to keep audiences truly entertained. She offers talks and lectures on many subjects. She has spoken on various issues such as the arts, creative writing ,playwrighting, theatre, tapping into your creativity, diversity, sexuality, body image, self motivation, realizing your dreams, how to overcome your fears, working with at risk youth and children, working with lower income families and working with culturally diverse families. Ms. Anthony will meet with clients for a free 30 minute consultation to determine client's needs and expectations.
Prices vary from $350-2000 depending on time.
Creative workshops
Ms. Anthony is a published and established playwright and actor. She offers creative workshops on play righting, creative writing, short stories and theatre. She is available to teach workshops for your events. Her fees range from $450-2000. Trey will meet with client to assess their needs and to negotiate price.
Please note all travel and accommodation costs must be provided by client, separate from Ms Anthony's fees.
Consulting/rehearsals fees
Ms. Anthony is available to offer consulting services to clients. She specializes in directing "first time actors", assisting "first time directors" and "first time playwrights." She will meet with clients for a free 30 minute consultation to ensure that client's needs and expectations are respectfully met.
Prices range from $500-1500
Readings and Presentations
Ms. Anthony offers readings and short presentations of her hit play, da Kink in my hair. These presentations and readings are ideal for short assemblies and special live events. She also offers short plays on body image/eating disorders, peer pressure, teenage pregnancy, and sexuality. She will meet with clients for a free 30 minute consultation to determine client's needs.
Prices range from $400- $1500
Full length performances
Ms. Anthony offers a full length performance of her hit play 'da Kink in my hair. Please note bookings for a full length performance of 'da Kink in my hair must be booked at least six months prior to scheduled event. She also offers full length plays dealing with many issues and full length comedy shows, which are ideal for grades 5-8, high school and university students. Booking for full length comedy shows and plays must be booked three months ahead prior to scheduled event.
Prices ranges varies greatly depending on needs of the client, size of the production and size of the theatre.
All prices are subject to reasonable negotiations. All presentations can be tailored to client's budgetary concerns if needed. Special consideration will be given to block bookings, womyn organizations and non-for profit organizations. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all confirmed bookings.
